Prior to arrival
Please, make sure to take along:
• Relevant medical documentation
• CDs with the previously performed imaging studies (CT, MRI, PET-CT, SPECT)
• Tissue samples
You should arrive at Docrates about 30 minutes before the first appointment or procedures. This makes it possible to go through practical issues and fill in a consent form to save the patient’s information. Our personnel is always ready to answer your questions, so do not hesitate to contact us.
Visa
If you need a visa to come to Finland, please send your and your accompanying person’s passport information to our International Team. After the appointment time is booked, our team will send you an invitation which will include the date of your appointment and the estimated time of your residence in Finland. You should take the invitation to the Finnish Embassy when applying for visa.
Accommodation
We will be glad to help in arranging accommodation for you and your close ones in any hotel according to your wish. You can find additional information about accommodation options on our accommodation page.
Interpretation services
Our specialists consult patients and write medical reports in Finnish and in English. If you would like your reports in English, please mention this to your treating doctor. It is also possible to organize the translation of the medical reports into other languages upon an extra charge. If you would like an interpreter to be present at your appointment with the specialist at Docrates Cancer Center, please, inform the international client manager in advance.
